Central Valley
Gran Escultor vineyard is located in Rapel Valley the largest region of Central Valley. Was founded in 1860 year. With a total area 450 hectares .
Rapel Valley is home to a production of excellent red wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Carménère.
It has a very dry and warm climate, with hot summers and rainy winters (annual precipitation of 595 mm). It has a sub-humid Mediterranean climate, with an average annual temperatures of 14.9°C (57°F).
The Coastal Mountain Range allows for sea breeze to reach the valley and help lower the temperatures during the afternoon. This effect is especially important during the maturation period.


Elqui Valley
Gran Escultor vineyard is located in the Elqui Valley between La Serena and Vicuña. Was founded in 1760 year. Its 3 families vineyard with a total area 650 hectares.
The climate is semi-arid (average annual rainfall is 80-100mm). The secret to successful viticulture this close to the equator is altitude. VIneyard sit up to 6550ft (2000m) above sea level, which means that the warm, bright, days are followed by cool, fresh nights. From an average high of 27-32°C (80.6-89.6°F) to an average low of 10-12°C (50-53.6°F).
Here you can find variety of such grapes as Pedro Ximenez, Torontel and different types of Moscatel for Brandy. Also Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère, Chardonnay and some Syrah are cultivated here.
